The way men and women deal with each other and our expectations between the sexes have drastically changed over the past few decades — just ask your grandfather. What was once considered perfectly acceptable or humorous we may today look at in shock and consider offensively racist or sexist. These changes in what is funny or socially acceptable are really obvious when looked at the time capsule of Advertising. Ads are meant to relate to us on an instantaneous level, easy understood and recognized as a part, or a desired part of our lives. So they often very accurately reflect society’s needs and desires.
